How to get unstuck from our unhelpful “inner head experiences”

Have you ever been stuck with rumination of unhelpful thoughts, feelings, past memories and projected futures?

It’s a common human experience isn’t it?

So how can we get “unstuck”?

1. Validate and acknowledge our “inner head experiences”. We can defuse and “hold space” for it.

2. Connect with our body senses to pivot for the next step. Our body senses is the border between our “inner head experiences” and the “outer head experiences”. Take a deep breath for example.

3. Engage in the things that matters to us and the people that we care about, things that we value, and things that we are in control of in our “outer head experiences”.

4. And if we get hooked back into our unhelpful “inner head experiences” again, go back to step 1 and repeat.
