So we often ask them about how they measure their self worth/self esteem?
The answers are often…
1. Achievememts
2. The acknowledgments/judgements of others
3. Their appearances or looks
Imagine if self esteem is represented by a stool and the legs are the measures/supports for one’s self esteem, then if those legs are achievements, acknowledgements/judgements of others, and one’s appearance, then this stool is going to be pretty shaky at times.
So for their homework ….
They can reflect on more ways of measuring self esteem/worth.
Ones that make them less vulnerable perhaps.
