Helping our patients to live more authentically for better inner harmony

Many folks I see have a real hard time living a life ”truer to who they are” or more congruent with their inner values.  Living a life more “authentically” so to speak to gain more inner harmony.

This is partly personality but also partly from past negative experiences.

When we were being ourselves and received negative feedback, it may have taught us that it was not safe to be ourselves in the world perhaps.

So part of ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy) is to assist these folks on ways to live a life more authentically and truer to their inner values, but still make it work in the real world.

We do this in theory, practice, but also modeling “authenticity” in our consults.

It’s about seeing one, experiencing and doing one, and most importantly, teaching one to their tribe/kids perhaps.
