How to forgive or accept the things we cannot change


In counseling, we often see folks who struggle with forgiveness for others or for themselves, and the acceptance of the things that they cannot change. 

The formula is easy. The implementation is hard.

Forgiveness or acceptance=Holding space for thoughts, feelings, or a narrative with curiosity, non judgement, and without the urge to act or respond.
