The main purpose of this site is to create a platform to support those who are preparing for their RACGP exams particularly the OSCE RACGP exams. In addition, we are here to promote Mental Health awareness and training, better self care for Doctors, and a biopsychosocial model of health for patients. We are independent of the RACGP.

Helping patients differentiate between defusion and detachment/dissociation
In counseling, it’s can be important to help patients to differentiate between defusion and intense detachment/dissociation. One is more helpful than the other.
It’s like when I first learnt to use the clutch in a manual car.
There is a sweet spot where we can use the clutch to “shift gears”.
Too much in and we are unable to shift the gears.
To much out and the car will stall.
I wonder if you know what I mean.
