Helping our patients to work towards inner happiness or inner peace
This is a simple emotional literacy that many of our patients may not be aware.
If one moves towards one’s values, it tends to “FEEL right”.
If one moves away from one’s values, it tends to “NOT FEEL right”.
If life is aligned with one’s values, there’s more inner happiness or inner peace.
If life is not aligned with one’s values, there’s more inner unhappiness or inner disharmony.
So to be happier or at least have more “inner peace”, we have to know our values with clarity, and know how to listen to our FEELINGS when required.
