In counseling, I often see folks who are quite critical of their own “intelligence”. It’s often based on the definition of “intelligence” that they got from their earlier years of school. The IQ type of intelligence perhaps.
But as we know, there are many “forms of intelligence” isn’t there?
The IQ type of intelligence
The EQ type
The social intelligence
The knowing oneself/self awareness type intelligence
The body/sensory intelligence including art, music or sport
The practical type of intelligence
The intuitive type of intelligence
So, there are many forms of intelligence isn’t there? Maybe you can think of some more.
No one is ever great at all forms of intelligence.
Being great at one often comes at the cost of another.
