Real time problem solvers vs long range strategists

I’ve seen a number of cases this week where we have folks who are generally very good with being in the here and now and deal with problems in real time BUT ….

When it comes to long term problem solving with a significant amount of future planning, it creates a lot of anxiety in the form of general worry, paranoia or even catastrophic thinking.

They are “real time problem solvers” rather “long range strategists”.

Without truly knowing who they are, they are more at risk with being a “fish out of water” and inevitably, leading to excessive stress.

They can be very misunderstood.

I wonder if you have seen this pattern.
