Helping our patients to tame their feeling minds

Our feeling mind is like a “wild horse” at times.

Some of us are fearful of it, and try to lock it up somewhere in the corner of our minds or hearts metaphorically speaking.

Some of us like to detach away from it as far as possible.

But of course, the less we acknowledge it, notice it, observe it, “sit with it”, soothe it, tame it, and play with it, the less we are able to “ride” it effectively.

So a large part of counseling is to assist people with engaging safely and “taming” their feeling minds.
