A large part of counseling is to help patients understand, process, and manage their own feelings and emotions

In counseling, we may see folks who are great with managing facts/data, okay with managing the feelings of others, but not great with managing their own feelings.

We also see folks who are excellent at managing the feelings of others, okay with facts/data, but not great with managing their own feelings.

So a large chunk of counseling is to help folks understand, process, and manage their own feelings and emotions.

Can you relate to any of the above, or see the above patterns in your patients?
